Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using KeywordMagic(“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t, don’t use the Service.
2. The Service
KeywordMagicis a keyword research tool that returns search volume, difficulty, intent, live SERP data, and AI-generated content briefs for keywords you submit. The Service is provided “as is” — see section 9.
3. Your account
- You need an account to use the Service. Authentication is handled by Clerk; you must provide accurate information.
- You’re responsible for activity on your account. Don’t share credentials.
- One account per person. Multi-user team accounts are not currently supported.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell or rebrand Service output as your own keyword research API.
- Use the Service to send spam, scrape competitor content for unauthorized republishing, or violate any law.
- Attempt to bypass plan limits, automate the UI to exceed your monthly action cap, or share your account with multiple people to multiply quota.
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our prompts or model outputs in bulk.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Plans, pricing & usage
- Free. 5 metered actions per month at $0. No card required.
- Pro. 200 metered actions per month at $15/month, billed monthly via Stripe through Clerk. Subject to a fair-use policy: if you consistently approach the cap, we may reach out to discuss a higher tier.
- A “metered action” is one keyword search (or refetch), one live SERP fetch, or one AI content brief generation. Cache hits, bookmarks, and history browsing are free.
- Counters reset on the first day of each calendar month, UTC.
- We may change prices or limits with 30 days’ notice via email or in-app announcement. Existing subscribers keep their current pricing for at least one billing cycle after the announcement.
6. Cancellation & refunds
- You can cancel any time from your billing settings. You keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds are available for the most recent payment only, in either of these two cases:
- It was charged by mistake (e.g., duplicate charge, you didn’t intend to renew).
- You haven’t used any metered actions in the billing period covered by that payment.
- Outside those two cases we do not provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing period, and earlier payments are not refundable.
- To request a refund, email us at [email protected] within 30 days of the charge with your account email and the date of the payment. We process eligible refunds within 7 business days.
7. Your content, our content
You own the keywords, bookmarks, and notes you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive license to process them as needed to operate the Service (run searches, generate briefs, sync your bookmarks).
We own the Service code, design, and brand. AI-generated content briefs are provided to you for your use; we make no exclusivity claim, but the underlying source data comes from third-party APIs and is subject to their terms.
8. Third-party data
Volume, difficulty, and SERP data come from third-party providers. We don’t guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or freshness. AI content briefs are generated by language models that can hallucinate or produce inaccurate output — always review before publishing.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost rankings, lost traffic, or lost revenue.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts at any time for breach of these terms. You can terminate your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. On termination, we delete your data within 30 days except where retention is required by law (typically billing records).
11. Changes
We may update these terms when the product or our providers change. Material changes are announced in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
